Flouncing at its best

Oh how I'd love to flounce around in this dress! The pattern of yellow irises and and buzzing dragonflies is amazing. And that little blue ribbon sash is perfection. Find this one at VictorianBedouin's ebay shop.

Flats of many colors

I adore both of these (and oh so many others) from Pretty Ballerinas. I'm a more recent convert to flats, but these colors would add such a pretty pop to any outfit.

Soft spot

I have such a soft spot for all things felt. This bracelet by KaleidoscopeStyle is particularly sweet.

Purpled

Love this painting by Wrinklegrin! It puts me in mind of the big lady tree in the Last Unicorn cartoon. Except without the boobs and creepy needyness obviously. It also really makes me want to clear my crafty table off completely and play with my pastels and paints until I'm one giant smudge of color.

Dreams of far off lands

I NEED to get my passport. Even if I have no funds for traveling (and thanks to some immenent home-buying, won't have funds for it for a great long while), I need to have the thing that says "Why yes, you can leave the country if you happen to find a whole pile of money with your name on it." And one day when I have that passport, I'd love to have such a sweet holder to keep it safe and cozy. Made by BridgetDavies.

Lucky

This sundress is so darn adorable. I love the colors and the pattern. Lucky would be the girl who could spend the summer wearing this absolutely everywhere. Find it at Viva Vintage Clothing.

Exquisite

Oh my! This shawl is breathtaking. Its vintage and probably the prettiest thing I've seen in ages. If I had the funds, I'd snap this up and hang it on a wall to be admired. Find it at Heavan of Gowns.

Flamenco

What a stunner of a dress! Found at Archive Vintage. (I'm aware this kind of stuff feeds into my unhealthy gypsy fascination).

Cute for cuteness' sake

Okay, I must admit to having no clue what I would do with a scallion softie, but its so frickin' pretty! I love the gradients of green on the stem and the sweet little yarny roots. What would you do with this lovely little thing? Made by Sian.

Green and lush

I have a bonafied terrarium obsession going on. I'm determined to make scads of my own this summer so I can have pretty lichens and moss for me and all my friends year round. TheOakLeaves makes such pretty pretty ones to sell - some with the cutest shapes and decorations. I find them to be highly inspirational.

Spring in my step.

What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than a brand new pair of strappy sandals? Not only are these amazingly beautiful, they are also custom made. I would feel like such a princess if I had shoes custom made for me. And my feet would be pretty happy too I suspect, since off-the-rack shoes tend to make them cross. I adore the shape, the texture, the color, everything. These are going on my "unwise ways I might consider spending my economic stimulus rebate" list.

From El Diablo Shoes, home of more custom-made footwear options as well as some pretty amazing leather totes.

Stackable.

These would look so terrific with my outfit today that I just might have to buy them for the next time this jacket comes up in my wardrobe rotation. I love the colors, the shapes, the ruggedness--everything. I have a pretty hardcore jewelry collection but I am generally lacking in rings, so it may be time to remedy that. From Metamorphosis.

Sweet lil' house

Sometime this summer, I'm putting togetehr my own terrarium (maybe more than one!) I love ones taht include wee whimsical touches. This little potter house would be perfect since it stands only 1.5" tall. Made by TheLittleRedDoor.

Junior league

I have a group of girlfriends who get together once a month, drink wine, and do stupid activities (and drink even more wine). My boss teases me by calling it my junior league night. The junior league is exactly what this dress puts me in mind of. Find it at Little Mouse Vintage. (and for ideas for putting together your own very-un-junior-league-ish-girls-club, check out EmilyStyle's inspiring post.)

Cloaked

Isn't this cloak from Rice and Beans Vintage the prettiest? I have a real soft spot for embroidered prettyness.

Landscapes of the mind

I would love to fill my walls with Sarajo Frieden's colorful and fun paintings. They are all so loveable.

Sweet

Darling little notebook from Autumn to May. I need to carry this around in my purse with me. Not only is it so much more orderly than scribbling notes on the backs of cafeteria receipts, it would also brighten my day every time I pulled it out.

Girlish and sweet

I love the interesting colors and details in paintings by Daniel Hyun Lim. They are such sweet things. I think I know just how that pink haired tree-headed girl feels somedays.

Glowy lips

Love this lip color by NeptunesKiss. (Love the hair color too, in fact!)

Underthings

I'm always complaining about the cost of the bitty poorly made scraps of fabric that pass for underwear. Maybe I need to stop complaining and start investing in some handmade, organic and beautiful underthings like those made by OnTheInside. Every last piece looks so comfortable and pretty.

Time passes so swiftly

Something about Dan McCarthy's vast skies and dinosaurs stirs a deep longing in me - something to do with the swift passing of time. His posters seem to sell out quick so the next dinosaur one that comes available I'm scooping up and considering an early birthday present to myself. (That last on is my particular favorite).

Ceramic artifacts

The work of Diana Fayt is really intriguing. Her beautful ceramic pieces have such interesting layers of texture and color.

Cork

I have a pile of corks in my kitchen. I love wine and am too green-minded to just throw the things out. However, I never would have thought to make something this lovely out of them. Uncorked has bunches on etsy. My cork pile shall likely remain in my kitchen, growing ever larger and unused.

Woolly and sweet

This bag is so sweet and springlike with its pretty ribbon and flower. Made by memake.

Simply perfect

I really love these cards from 12fifteen. So simple and pretty and utterly perfect.

Winged messenger

I first caught sight of Susanna Gordan's amazingly pretty pictures of winged letters on Ullabenulla. These make me so happy that I just had to share.

Getting warmed up

Miss Kristen and I have an after work shopping trip planned so my internet window shopping is just a warm up. This brooch from BazaarLatino I love.

Celebration of trees

And leaves. Like this pretty ring in such a cool spring color. Find it at Beadoodles and feel all earth mothery every time you slip it on. (Is it starting to seem like my posts are all about my diverse imaginary personalities? I'll have to ponder whether that's a good thing or a bad thing or a very good thing.)

Invite me to tea!

'Cause then I could wear this super sweet dress from Contentment Farm. It would be even better if it were a garden tea party with roses and china. That shade of pink is so wearable.

Clam bake attire

This vintage suit from Paper Moon Vintage would be perfect for my Doris Day pretendings. (Can you tell too many of my daydreams take place in old movies?) We could plan a clam bake and have dancing on the beach and pretend we're not really in Ohio. I bet its super slimming too.

Striking

I'm loving the resurgence of the damask pattern these days, especially a modern take like this. The pattern is on the inside of these brilliant lampshades by Nicolette Brunklaus and is illuminated by the lightbulb. It's subtle and girly and a little bit offbeat, what with the pattern peeking out from under the shade. This is a fun way to incorporate the classic damask without calling to mind the heavy, antiquated look of damask wallpaper, draperies or mattresses. Available at Rose & Radish.

Vintage fairy godmother

If such a creature exsited, she'd have all three of these dresses from Dorothea's Closet here right now. All in my size with beautiful shoes and clutches to go with and some madly fun evenings planned to wear them to. Oh and some natty duds for my boy. Hope she shows up soon!
